It is with great excitement that we announce that the Lake Hood Pilates studio is reopening on Tuesday 19th May for classes, following the announcement by the government that we are moving to level 2 this Wednesday at 11.59pm. It has been an extremely challenging time for everyone, and there are important guidelines that we have to follow to keep everyone safe.
We are lucky in that we have lovely small class sizes, with a maximum of 6 in each class, so this allows us to know exactly who is coming and going from the studio, and to keep records of who attends each class for contact tracing purposes. Level 2 guidelines also require that we keep a 1 metre spacing between everyone as well as regularly cleaning surfaces, and washing hands.
In view of these guidelines, we have set up the following procedures:
As you come to class, hand sanitiser will be provided for your use, by the door. Door handles and any other surface that may be contacted will be thoroughly cleaned after each class. Please feel free to use the hand sanitiser again on your way out.
You are most welcome to bring your own towel or mat, although the mats in the studio will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.
We won’t be using any props for a while, so it's just you and the mat!
I would like to ask everyone to wear socks during the class; any kind is fine but grip socks work really well if you find you slip around on the mat, and these are sold in the studio for $15 a pair or you can find them in sports shops and other retail stores.
And possibly the most important, please do not come to class if you are unwell. Please also stay away if you are a probable or confirmed Covid-19 case, or have been in close contact with someone who is. If you have been overseas, please stay away from the studio until 14 days after you have arrived home.
We can’t wait to see everyone back in the studio, where our utmost priority is to create a calm safe space for you all.
